GLOBAL AWARENESS ART PORJECTS

The Art of physics and politics of global warming.

Below are2025-2026 concrete, project-level projects that braid existing visual language—metallic gold vs. carbon black, minimal form, linen support—directly into the physics and politics of global warming.  Each idea is written as a “recipe” you can drop into the studio tomorrow and still end up with gallery collectable work. Artwork and results upon request.

CHEMICAL PLANET ( 3RD MADRID SHOLO SHOW)

Chemical Planet is an exhibition where human activity destabilizes the Earth's balance. The artist, Richard Gene Barbera, focuses on patterns and compositions that meditate on the complexity of even the most minimalist landscapes,
“the more I observe nature's intricate connections, the more deeply committed I am to sounding the alarm through my art so that we avoid taking everything that is in danger for granted”. Thus, Barbera strives to convey the character of nature while analyzing the dangers we face from climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. Through his work, he hopes to represent both the beauty and the loss, to translate the wonders of the earth into an SOS, before it becomes too complicated to reverse the damage from our greenhouse gas emissions and the industrial waste that plagues the natural world on which we depend. More than ever, his goal as an artist is to raise awareness before conservation becomes impossible.

NATURE SPEAKS II 2022 (2ND MARDID SOLO SHOW)

A project where he again a ects his work with an awareness committed to climate change and the consequences it entails in the development of our planet. Speci cally, with “Nature Speaks II”, the artist lets us see his concern for water, as an element of nature, an integral part of natural ecosystems, essential for sustaining and reproducing life on the planet.
